The Perie Banou II is a 39-foot Sparkman & Stephens sloop, originally known as Pilgrim, built in 1971.
In September 1988 Jon Sanders returned home after his triple consecutive non-stop solo unassisted circumnavigation, and with his brother Colin, became the second and proud owners of Pilgrim. They immediately christened her Perie Banou II after sister yacht Perie Banou, in which Jon had previously completed his double non-stop solo unassisted circumnavigation.
Perie Banou II has achieved international status with a long history of ocean crossings.
Perie Banou II has achieved one circumnavigation of the globe, has completed the gruelling Fremantle to Bali Race, two Sydney Hobart Yacht Races and countless successful ocean races, demonstrating the capacity of this sound sea vessel.
